The aircraft T-500 (MV-500) obtained the type certificate

The T-500 certification program started in August, 2017, after the signing of the agreement between MVEN Company (the Republic of Tatarstan), the aircraft designer, and Aviation Register of Russia within the framework of the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017. Having successfully passed the full range of tests the aircraft T-500 confirmed its claimed performance. In the course of flight and ground tests two experimental specimens were used. The success was determined by the application of the state-of-the-art technologies in the production of the basic polymer composite structures manufactured by ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin, a part of the State Corporation Rostec (the holding company RT-Chemcomposite).

“Obtaining the certificate makes it possible to launch the T-500 batch production as well as operate the aircraft for commercial purposes in the fleet of the leading customers. Ten production aircraft are to be released by the end of 2018, while increasing the production capacity of up to 120 aircraft per year is expected in 2019. A number of ministries and departments, including Ministry of Agriculture, Federal Forestry Agency as well as the country regions have expressed interest in the lightweight and efficient vehicle”, pointed out Sergey Abramov, the Industrial Director of Weapons Cluster of the State Corporation Rostec.

The T-500 is a new-generation aircraft for aerochemical work. The aircraft has composite airframe and can be operated in various environmental conditions. The T-500 is equipped with high-speed parachute system making it possible to provide the rescue of both the aircraft and its crew. The vehicle can be useful in the monitoring of the environment (especially in the fire season), inspection of large industrial facilities, weather control, forest pest control, oil spill response.     

ORPE Technologiya, a part of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite of the Rostec State Corporation, is carrying out the T-500 project being the manufacturer of composite airframe structure and glazing. The designer of the aircraft is MVEN Company.
