RT-Chemcomposite and ROSLESKHOZ are to cooperate in solving the problem of forest conservation and protection

Within the framework of the working visit to the production site of ORPE Technologiya (a member of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite) in Obninsk the possibilities for cooperation between RT-Chemcomposite and the Federal Forestry Agency ROSLESKHOZ were discussed.

Director General of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite Kirill Shubsky, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation – Head of the Federal Forestry Agency ROSLESKHOZ Ivan Valentik, Director of Plant-Growing, Chemicalization and Plant Protection Department of RF Ministry of Agriculture Pyotr Chekmarev took part in the business meeting.

One of the key issues discussed at the meeting was the one relating to the application of the capabilities of the special-purpose airplane T-500 for aero-chemical works, the full-scale production of which RT-Chemcomposite is to start this year, to solving the problems of ROSLESKHOZ. Prospects for the application of the unique and advanced pest protection products made by the holding company were also discussed.

«RT-Chemcomposite has the ability to solve the problems of forestry and agriculture in an integrated manner. We have both composite production and fine chemicals center. Furthermore, we have considerable competencies in the field of structural optics one can use in release of the new domestic agricultural equipment. The T-500 project has great potential for development. And we look forward to applying the airplane, among others, by ROSLESKHOZ divisions. We are to release 30 airplanes T-500 by 2018 and increase the release of them up to 120 ones per year by 2019», said Kirill Shubsky, Director General of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite.

In the course of the visit the participants have become acquainted with ORPE Technologiya production site which is to become the place of the airplane T-500 composite airframe batch production. At present, the enterprise has considerable capabilities for the manufacture of products made of polymer composite materials. Technical upgrade carried out within the last three years makes it possible to release state-of-the-art high-technology products with the use of automated placement technology, out-of-autoclave forming, high-precision machining of products. All this allows the enterprise to succeed in solving the most complicated problems.

«One of the core objectives of ROSLESKHOZ is protection and conservation of forests. Aviation has always helped us to realize it. Unfortunately, currently we have to work with the out-of-date aircraft fleet. The multipurpose airplane T-500 production project has excellent technical as well as financial performance. We are ready to use the airplane for monitoring of forestry, influencing the hydrometeorological phenomena with a view to forest fire control and forest pathology observation. We are looking forward to obtaining good results in cooperation with the holding company RT-Chemcomposite. Today’s meeting is a demonstrative example of interaction between the executive authorities and the state corporation. We have become acquainted with a production process and we are greatly impressed as the capabilities of the Russian industry are considerable and we must use them by all means», stated Ivan Valentik, Head of the Federal Forestry Agency ROSLESKHOZ.

The Т-500 is a new-generation special-purpose airplane. The airplane may be used for monitoring of the environment (especially in the fire season), surveying of long-range industrial facilities, influencing the hydrometeorological phenomena, anti-pests treatment of forests, and oil spill response. The T-500 has several significant advantages over its predecessors: it has the airframe made of composite materials and high-strength glazing, the airplane is off-field operated and equipped with a rapid parachute recovery system. The possibility of the state-of-the-art technology of ultra-low capacity spraying application allows the areas to be efficiently treated with the up-to-date chemicals. Meanwhile, the T-500 cost is lower than the cost of its foreign analogues.
