Certification audit of ORPE «Technologiya» business system in the field of design, development and manufacture of glazing products for railway transport took place in December, 2017. During a week, DQS experts checked the organization and functioning of the business management system processes, the procedure of preparing documentation for compliance with the requirements of the new standard. According to the audit results, level of maturity of the enterprise was highly ranked on the IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) grading scale: 67 points — that is the best result among other inspections that have already been conducted in Russia. Among the strengths, auditors highlighted high product quality and customer satisfaction indicators, achievement of KPI indicators for all business management system processes, application of up-to-date equipment and technologies in the process of manufacturing products for railway transport.
«Good organization of professional training and staff development as well as high-quality documentation are especially worth mentioning. But the best indicator is the absence of claims for defective products from ORPE «Technologiya» customers», stressed Mikhail Zalunaev, the head of DQS in Russia, summing up the audit results.
Along with well-organized processes of products quality control and risk management, high level of staff training was noted as well.
«The enterprise was one of the first in Russia to confirm compliance with the new standard of railroad industry and achieved the best result. Currently «Technologiya» produces more than 250 structural optics articles for rolling stock. The enterprise is planning to release new products including polycarbonate glazing for high — speed trains.
