The quality management system audit at ORPE Technologiya was carried out in June 2017. Preliminary, a program of fitting the quality management system to an update of the international standard had been implemented at the company. As an output, 50 staff members were retrained and regulatory documents were brought into conformity with the most recent requirements. In the course of the audit, the specialists of Bureau Veritas evaluated the processes of research-and-production divisions specialized in the manufacture of polymeric composite products and special transparences for the aerospace industry, as well as supporting departments and services, with particular emphasis on the compliance with the new requirements of in-house regulatory documents. To date, more than 100 proprietary standards and over 50 operating instructions are in force within the company.
“Dynamic response to changes is a basis for competitiveness, particularly in the international market for high-tech products. The new standard has been successfully implemented at the company a year ahead of the time set by IAQC, which gives evidence of the products’ quality compliance with the most severe requirements and of streamlined process of production monitoring and control over quality management system operation. Verification of compliance with the latest international aerospace standards will allow ORPE Technologiya to hold stronger positions in the world market and successfully adapt to economic conditions”, said Andrei Silkin, Director General of ORPE Technologiya.
