The development of the all-Russian aerochemical work management system includes the organization in Russia a Centre on rendering services to the farms of the country, formation of a common base for cultivation area records, carrying out of monitoring, as well as the introduction of the electronic system for carrying out the aerochemical work using the system GLONASS.
On signing the agreement, Sergei Abramov, Industrial Director of SC Rostec Weapons Cluster, pointed out: “One of the project stages is expected to become a start-up of batch production of agricultural aviation complexes enclosing the special airplane for aerochemical work T-500 having the spraying system. This development is a demonstrative example of the transfer of military technologies into the civil sector, which completely goes with the Rostec’s strategy purpose to increase the civil production share of proceeds up to 50 % by 2025”.
The airplanes are to be batch-produced by the enterprise of the state corporation Rostec ORPE Technologiya named after A.G.Romashin (the holding company RT-Chemcomposite) in collaboration with OOO “Firma “MVEN” (Republic of Tatarstan).
“The support rendered to the project by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the state corporation Rostec gives us confidence that the output of 60 complexes a year according to our plan is an absolutely workable objective. The interest in buying the agricultural aviation complex has already been shown by a number of Russian regions and foreign customers including those from Algeria, Portugal, and Angola,” notes Andrei Silkin, Director-General of ORPE Technologiya.
The T-500 is manufactured using high aviation technologies. The airframe is completely made from polymer composite materials by hot moulding, which makes it possible to operate the airplane in hot climate areas. The high-strength polycarbonate glazing has an extra layer in the form of a coating which protects the pilot from environmental exposure. The airplane is equipped with a rapid parachute recovery system. The spraying system is designed for the use of the state-of-the-art technology of ultra-low capacity spraying, which allows the areas to be efficiently treated with the minimum amount of chemicals.
Moreover, the T-500 may be used for the forest pest control, surveying of industrial facilities, liquidation of oil-product spills, and influencing hydrometeorological phenomena. At present, the first airplane has been produced, which is to make its debut flight at MAKS-2017 on July 23, 2017.
The pilot project on the establishment of the all-Russian aerochemical work management system is to be implemented inside the Republic of Tatarstan.
Apart from the Republic of Tatarstan, Perm Krai has also confirmed its readiness to take part in a similar project. Industrial Director of SC Rostec Weapons Cluster Sergei Abramov and Perm Krai Acting Governor Maxim Reshetnikov signed a similar agreement on cooperation.
