“One of the innovations of this year is cockpit windows from polycarbonate which can be referred to unique products owing to the combination of high strength and low weight. Our capabilities in the field of development and production of aircraft glazing from this material have increased significantly after the establishment of the first National Center of Structural Optics Products in our country which our research and production enterprises JSC Scientific Research Institute of Technical Glass and ORPE Technologiya joined,” said K. Shubsky, Director General of RT-Chemcomposite.
Science-intensive products of ORPE Technologiya will form the basis of RT Chemcomposite exposition. Alongside with traditionally demonstrated structural optics products the composite floor and interior panels from polymer- and glass-fiber reinforced honeycomb materials as well as unique materials such as heat-resistant glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb cores retaining their properties up to 300о C will be presented at the Exhibition.
“The potentialities of the Enterprise in the expansion of range of products for helicopters are really high, beginning with the development of tailor-made materials and ending with the manufacture and maintenance of serial products. It is very important for ORPE Technologiya which is a member of Helicopter Industries Association of Russia to intensify efforts on the introduction of new materials into helicopter industry as it is directly connected with the competitiveness of domestic products, especially in the international market,” said A. Silkin, Director General of ORPE Technologiya.
