ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin is to increase the release of glass hemispheres for the airfield lighting systems by 20 per cent

ORPE Technologiya technical specialists have designed a machine making it possible to improve the airfield approach signalling lights and floodlights deflectors and diffusers quality as well as to reduce production time and energy expenditures by 25 and 30 per cent respectively.

“Two State Research Centres of the Russian Federation being part of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite promptly respond to the market for science-intensive products demands. Introduction of the new technology is to provide the increase in hemispheres for airfield lighting systems release by 20 per cent. Today ORPE Technologiya releases annually about 1500 articles for the airfield lighting systems”, the holding company RT-Chemcomposite Director General Kirill Shubskiy stressed.

Significant improvements were achieved through the development of sag molding, the technology of heated sheet glass curved articles molding. Such innovative engineering solutions as machine equipping with vacuum system and additional thermal shields which had made it possible to exclude glass preform positioning processes from the technological cycle eventually influenced the results. ORPE Technologiya scientists and engineers group invention was patented by Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks of the Russian Federation.
