Introduction of computer-aided glazing heat strengthening technology

ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin has mastered a new technology of computer-aided heat strengthening of glazing for different branches of industry.

The introduction of glazing heat strengthening technology has become possible with the use of Erdmann Enterprises Deutschland GmbH strengthening line. The introduction of new technology has made it possible to create a greater variety of glass products within the glass thickness range from 3.0 to 19.0mm.

“The use of new equipment has enabled us to increase the efficiency of glass air quenching 6-8 times (as the quenching machine can process more products in a single cycle) and to increase the quality of products. We will continue to modernize the equipment. This year ORPE Technologiya plans to put into service a magnetron vacuum plant for the deposition of current-conducting coatings and a new grinding-and-polishing machine. This will help to increase appreciably the efficiency of electrically heated glazing production and the quality of glass products,” said K. Shubsky, Director General of RT-Chemcomposite.

Nowadays large-sized heat strengthened glass products are mainly manufactured for aviation and ship-building industries. The building industry is an upcoming sector.

The increase of civil product yield is impossible without the introduction of new technologies and product differentiation. This year ORPE Technologiya has already mastered the production of three glass products and it plans to put into serial production 21 more items by the end of the year. Owing to these new production possibilities, the Enterprise will confidently be able to cultivate new markets.
