ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin and AO NITS combined their research and production capabilities

ORPE Technologiya has become a principal shareholder of AO NITS. This resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite.

The main goal of combining resources is the consolidation of scientific-technical, production and financial capabilities of the two companies in the field of development and manufacture of structural optics products and the creation of the integrated competence center for the development and manufacture of glazing. The center is to become the National Center of Structural Optics.

“Research and production alliance of Technologiya and NITS will result in the introduction of new high-tech products to the promising segments of Russian and foreign civil markets, optimization of costs and production processes,” commented on the event K. Shubsky, Director General of RT-Chemcomposite.

The joint use of resources will make it possible to create a greater variety of products realized by the holding company and to improve the application characteristics of products.

“We have already obtained the first results of Technologiya-NITS consolidation. At present the negotiations on the strategic partnership with the largest Russian producer of railway transport vehicles Transmashholding are in progress. The partnership implies the railway transport glazing ramp-up and the direct interaction in the field of deliveries,” said A. Silkin, Director General of ORPE Technologiya.

The State Research Center of the Russian Federation JSC ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin – one of the leading research and production enterprises in Russia in the field of development of high-tech products for aviation, rocket-and-space equipment, transport vehicles. The Enterprise is the member of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite.

AO NITS – the Research Institute for Technical glass engaged in the development and manufacture of high-strength glass and special optical products for civil, space and defense industries. The Institute is the member of the holding company RT-Chemcomposite.
