On April 28, 2016, the first Soyuz-2.1 was launched from Vostochny, the first civil space-launch complex of Russia. At the estimated time checkpoint, the Volga upper stage, having the temperature-control system panels produced by TECHNOLOGIYA, has started to form the transfer and final orbits for the space vehicles Lomonosov, Aist-2D, and SamSat-218.

Lomonosov and Aist-2D also include the components developed by Obninsk Enterprise. Owing to the unique technology applied, there have been produced the frames for the satellites, which serve as the temperature-control system and apparatus platform at the same time. Moreover, Aist-2D has become the first space vehicle with the integrated solar cell carriers that have no analogues in the world practice.

“The developments of our scientists have made it possible not only to increase the amount of scientific equipment installed on space vehicles, but due to the unique solutions the satellite service life has multiply been extended”, Kirill Shubsky, Director General of RT-Chemcomposite, noted.

Lomonosov is the university satellite (Lomonosov State University of Moscow) designed to carry out scientific experiments related to the research of transient luminance phenomena of the Earth stratosphere, radiation characteristics of the Earth magnetosphere, and fundamental cosmological research.

Aist-2D is an optoelectronic satellite for the remote sensing of the Earth. Weighing only 531 kg Aist-2D can provide a 1.5-m resolution with a hold range of nearly 40 km when taking pictures of the earth’s surface.
