ORPE "Technologiya" expands its presence in the shipbuilding market

ORPE "Technologiya" named after A.G. Romashin has manufactured a set of special-purpose glazing products on the order of shipbuilding company from the Republic of Kazakhstan. The glazing in question was certified by the classification society Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS).

Within the framework of the contract, glass blocks for cockpit windows constituting triplex from tempered outer glass and heat-strengthened inner glass bonded with polymer film were manufactured. Controlled electrical heating of the sandwich structure eliminating glass icing and fogging under all hydrometeorological conditions is a distinctive characteristic of the product in question.

“Manufacture of components for shipbuilding industry is one of the priority areas for the Enterprise development. Our operational experience makes possible the manufacture of products meeting up-to-date requirements”, said A. Silkin, Director General of ORPE Technologiya.

ORPE Technologiya has great experience in the field of cooperation with shipbuilding companies. The specialists of the Enterprise have developed high-strength glazing for the atomic ice-breaker ROSSIYA and ultra-high-strength windows for the deep-submergence vehicle MIR. Nowadays ORPE Technologiya develops cooperation with one of the leading and strategic shipbuilding enterprises of the Russian Federation JSC Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky the representatives of which visited ORPE Technologiya not long ago and expressed a high opinion of manufacturing and research capabilities of Obninsk competence center.
