The participants of this event had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the current state of the aircraft industry and to discuss the prospects of the introduction of high technologies in this branch of industry.
One of the key events of this Forum was the conference “Advanced Technologies in Aircraft Industry” where Oleg N. Komissar, Director General of ORPE Technologiya, presented a paper “Automated Methods for the Production of Composite Aircraft Structures”. During the session “Application of Composite Materials in Aviation” Oleg N. Komissar pooled the experience of the Enterprise obtained in the course of the development and introduction of advanced methods for the production of PCM aerospace structures.
“The technology of automated layering of composite aerospace structures developed at ORPE Technologiya during our work on the space shuttle Buran has been evolved for more than a quarter of a century. A continuous improvement of the production process, an increase in the number of automated processes and the introduction of new technologies are our competitive advantages which allow us to participate practically in all challenging projects of Russian aerospace industry”, said O. Komissar, Director General of ORPE Technologiya.
The large-sized PCM structures manufactured at ORPE Technologiya are used in the advanced Russian airliner MS-21. The sound-absorbing panels are used in the engines SAM-146 and PD-14. The latest launcher ANGARA also has the components made at the Enterprise.
