ORPE Technologiya develops cooperation with RSC Energiya

The management representatives of JSC S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energiya visited ORPE Technologiya. During the visit the guests were shown the enterprise’s capabilities in development and production of articles for purposes of space industry.

After the excursion there was a constructive discussion, in the course of which the participants raised a number of issues, focused on the increase of competitiveness of domestic rocket production on the international market.

The most interesting points for the guests were prospects of cooperation on production of large-size polymer composite structures for heavy launchers, application of ultrastrong glass articles with unique properties, manufactured by ORPE Technologiya, in their production and cooperation on spacecraft development. The participants discussed the issues of import substitution and a number of other problems, the solution of which will make it possible for the country to maintain leadership in rocket industry.

ORPE Technologiya supplies for space industry purposes: nose cone shells, integral cylindrical sections, fairings of launcher stages and upper stages made of PCM according to the technologies, providing high efficiency in terms of specific weight parameters. Moreover, it is the enterprise’s laboratories that developed passive temperature control system, which enabled to increase spacecraft service life up to 15 years and a unique in terms of its characteristics ultralightweight solar cell carrier for the spacecraft Luna-Glob, Luna-Resurs, Resonance, Aist and Interhelioglobe. At the end of last year the enterprise’s products were for the first time applied in the launcher Soyuz.
