In 2020, ORPE Technologiya increased the volume of production for the civilian sector of the economy. The share of civilian production revenue in the total revenue structure exceeded 20% and amounted to 1.4 billion rubles (the projected target is 155%). The company's revenues from research and development activities for the same period also amounted to 1.4 billion rubles.
"The growth of revenues from R&D work and sales of civilian products are tasks of strategic importance for the enterprise. Along with the state defense order, diversification of production is the most important and economically justified direction of our activity," noted Andrey Silkin, Director General of ORPE Technologiya.
It became possible to achieve such a level by increasing the output of products for the aerospace industry – more than 750 units of science-intensive products for spacecraft and launch vehicles were produced in 2020. Also, compared to 2019, the volume of structural optics products for railway and water transport increased by 15% – glazing for 90 cabins of new generation subway trains for the Moscow Metro, glazing for PK-700 Grigory Prosyankin floating crane and for the Peter the Great cruise ship were produced. The enterprise mastered the manufacturing of new products from ceramic materials – the output of heat-resistant products from zirconium dioxide - batchers, nozzles, sleeves and crucibles for metallurgy increased by 20%. In 2020, the production of sitallic substrates for film integrated circuits doubled to 20,000 units. In 2018 ORPE Technologiya organized batch manufacturing of these products as part of the import substitution program.
