ORPE Technologiya started the serial production of low-sized crucibles intended for thermal analysis

8 October 2020
Obninsk Research and Production Enterprise Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin launched the serial production of small-sized ceramic crucibles intended for thermal analysis. The main goal of this project is import substitution. The production capabilities make it possible to produce 1000 pieces monthly and eventually fully satisfy the demand of Russian companies for this type of products.

The ceramic crucibles with the diameter of 6,9 mm (twice less then one kopeck coin) and the volume of 85 mcl are made of alumina material and are used as test samples capacities for making high-temperature thermoanalytical measurements ensuring the high precision of the results. These products are chemical resistant and can sustain the temperature up to 1700С.

“Low-sizes crucibles manufacturing technology was developed by our specialists for performing our laboratory research with a focus on import substitution. Now the external demand for our crucibles has already appeared. More than 50 institutes all over the country use these products for conducting of the research and we are ready to fully satisfy the demands of Russian enterprises for this kind of products.”, the Director General of JSC ORPE Technologiya, Andrey Silkin noted.

The structural parameters and physical and technical characteristics obtained by low-sized ceramic crucibles produced by JSC ORPE Technologiya named after A. G. Romashin are equal to foreign analogues and the price of these products is twice less than of foreign samples. In the year 2018 the diploma of the “Priority-2018” national award in the field of import substitution was granted for the development small-sized alumina crucibles intended for thermal analysis.
