In the course of surveillance audit, the processes of development and production of structural optics articles for the railway transport were inspected for compliance with the requirements of ISO/TS22163:2017 standard. The enterprise’s maturity level scoring by the rating scale of IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) was 69 points and exceeded the last year’s rating by two points.
“The audit confirmed the enterprise’s capability in the development and batch production of structural optics items including the ones made of novel materials. They fully comply with the requirements of the railway industry. Such results give us advantages on the market of high-speed locomotives and make it possible to successfully tackle the problems of increasing the output for the industry”, noted Andrei Silkin, Director General of ORPE Technologiya.
In 2018, ORPE Technologiya was among the first within the country to prove the compliance with the new railway industry standard. At the present time, the enterprise produces over 250 structural optics items for the rolling stock.
