The project was presented by Director General of ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin (part of the State Corporation Rostec) Andrei Silkin. “The new plant will be assembling the T-500 aircraft, as well as other aircrafts based on this model, including the two-seat and unmanned versions, - said the head of the Obninsk enterprise, - the experimental aerodrome will allow for overflights and test flights of the equipment produced in the immediate vicinity of manufacturing facilities. ORPE Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin will be producing the key elements of the airframe made from domestic composite materials. Therefore, this project of Rostec State Corporation is also an example of successful interregional cooperation – of the Kaluga Region and the Republic of Tatarstan.”
The project was solemnly launched by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov within the framework of the conference CIPR-2019 on May 22, 2019. Construction of the assembly plant will begin in 2020, and commissioning of the facility is scheduled for 2022. The volume of investments will be 2.5 billion rubles.
