In 2019, the scientists of ORPE Technologiya will start implementing six new research projects that have already been approved by the interdepartmental expert council of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. In general, this year, research activities will be carried out under the government contracts for an amount in excess of 200 million rubles. Last year, research activities were successfully carried out under five contracts of the state program “Development of the military-industrial complex”.
- Enhancing the role of research activity and its effective commercialization is one of the strategic directions of the enterprise development, - said Andrei Silkin, Director General of ORPE Technologiya. - We have a clear understanding that without a systematic increase in the volume of research it is impossible to achieve our second strategic goal - increase in the share of civilian products.
Currently, ORPE Technologiya is the owner of 298 patents, 32 of which were acquired in 2018. About 10% of patented materials, structures and technologies are used by the enterprise during the production of high-technology products. 744 employees are working in the area of research and development of materials and technologies, 75 of whom have academic degrees and titles. In 2018 the R&D engineers were granted two national awards (“Golden Idea“ and “Priority“) for their achievements. In addition, they received the Russian Federation Government Award for developing a polycarbonate canopy for military aviation.
