Technologiya has equipped the latest space apparatus “Kanopus-V”

27 December 2018
Two Russian satellites “Kanopus-V” launched on December 26th, 2018 by means of rocket-launcher “Soyuz-2” from spaceport “Vostochnyi” were equipped with temperature control panels produced by Obninsk Research and Production Enterprise Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin (a part of holding company RT-Chemcomposite, the Rostec State Corporation).

At the same time these temperature control panels are structural members of the space vehicle body. Additionally they are also equipped with thermo-optical coating which allows to decrease thermal load for satellites. All the solutions applied are aimed at increasing service life of the satellites.

“We are very glad to see a successful launching of the latest space apparatus of the “Kanopus - V” group. At present in total 52 space vehicles equipped with science-intensive components manufactured at our enterprise have already been placed into orbit ” – Olesya Shirina, chief of direction for production of space engineering structures at ORPE Technologiya, noticed.

The space complex “Kanopus-V” which comprises a family of space apparatus ensures monitoring of technogenetics and natural emergency situations, hydrometeorological events, operating supervision for required regions of the earth surface. The information received is used by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, RosHydroMet and other authorities for making operative decisions.
