Cockpit glazing

Electrically heated silicate glass

transparent monolayer or multilayer planar or curved glass composition consisting of high-strength glass and conductive adhesive materials. It is set in a frame from light strong metal or rubber with the help of flexible polymer materials. It is used in Tu-154, An-28, An-38, L-410, Il-86 aircraft, helicopters and other aviation equipment.

Characteristics:

• Sagging technology developed at the Enterprise makes it possible to obtain glass billets of required curvature; the framing ensures cockpit tightness and takes mechanical loads;

• Glazing features high strength, it was tested for bird impact resistance;

• Controlled heating prevents glass icing and fogging under any meteorological conditions;

• No optical distortion;

• Application of multifunctional coatings protecting against electromagnetic, UV and solar radiation and reducing radar detection capability is possible;

• Glass block thickness – from 11 to 52 mm;

• Operating temperature - from -60 °C to +200 °C;

• Light transmission - from 75 to 94%;

• Service light- up to 30 years;

• Service light limit - 2000 flight hours.

Organic glass

acrylate-based high-transparent polymer material reinforced by the method of fiber orientation. It is used in Тu-154, Тu-334, Тu-204, Аn-140, АN-74ТK-300, Аn-124, Аn-148, Il-86, Il-96.

Characteristics:

• Light transmission – from 78 to 94%;

• Operating temperature from -60 °C to +80 °C;

• Impact-resistant;

• It is produced in the form of

monolithic glazing 18-26 mm in thickness;

chambered glazing consisting of two and more glasses with air gap between them;

triplex glazing – sheet or complex-shaped billets bonded with polymer film or adhesive polymer mixture.
