PREPREGS for polymeric composite materials



A wide range of prepregs based on such fillers as carbon, glass and organic fibers in the form of filament yarns, tapes, fabrics and also on various kinds of binders (epoxy, polyimide, phenol-formaldehyde, polyester, organosilicon) has been developed in the laboratories of the Centre.
Polymeric composite materials made of these prepregs exhibit high performance reproducibility and are used in aerospace engineering, ship-building, mechanical engineering, sports and household goods.
Specifically, the Centre is the only enterprise in Russia that produces unidirectional prepregs based on filaments of various chemical nature and molten binders.
The materials developed conform to the international standards for physical, chemical and service properties. They are competitive with the products of leading foreign firms.
